What we do

We build timing tools that open instantly and do one job well. Right now that means a countdown timer, for when you know how long something should take, and a stopwatch, for when you want to find out how long it actually took. More tools — a loop timer, a day counter and a tally counter — are built and will return to the site as we finish polishing them.

Every tool runs entirely inside your browser. There is no app to install, no account to create, no email address to hand over and no free trial that quietly turns into a bill. You open a page and it works, on a desktop at work or a phone in the kitchen.

Why we built it

Searching for something as ordinary as a five minute timer usually lands you on a page weighed down with pop-ups, cookie walls, autoplaying video and a prompt to install an app — for a tool that should take one second to use. We wanted the opposite: something that loads fast, starts immediately, and gets out of the way.

That principle shapes the small decisions too. The countdown reads from your system clock rather than counting frames, so it does not drift when you switch tabs. Reset asks before it wipes a long stopwatch session. Preset timers have real, shareable web addresses so you can bookmark the exact one you use every day.

How we handle your data

Your timer history and stopwatch sessions are saved in your own browser using local storage. That data stays on your device, is never uploaded to us, and we have no way to read it. Clearing your browser data removes it completely.

Like most free sites, we use analytics to understand which tools people actually use, and advertising to pay for the hosting. Both are optional: you are asked to consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and declining does not lock you out of a single feature. How the site is funded

The tools are free and we intend to keep them that way. Hosting, domains and development time are paid for by advertising displayed alongside the content. We would rather show ads than put a login screen, a paywall or a data-collection form between you and a stopwatch.

What that means in practice

• Every feature is available to everyone, with no premium tier.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• Ads are kept out of the way of the tool itself — the timer is always the main thing on the page.
